Celebrating Our Centennial Year
In honor of the Farwest Region’s 100th anniversary, we celebrate the legacy of Vivian Osborne Marsh, the first Farwest Regional Director and 7th National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A trailblazer in education and civil rights, Soror Marsh played a key role in advocating for anti-lynching legislation and advancing policies that benefited the Black community. Delta Authors on Tour

Vivian Osborne Marsh’s legacy of empowering communities through education and literacy continues to inspire today. One of her most impactful initiatives was the Traveling Library, which brought books to rural areas of Georgia, helping to ensure that African American children and families had access to educational resources during a time when such opportunities were scarce.
Now, we honor her commitment to education and literacy with Delta Authors on Tour in Tempe, Arizona. Join us as we celebrate the voices and stories of our talented Sorors, highlighting their literary contributions and showcasing their strength, creativity, and accomplishments. Just as Vivian worked to bring books to those in need, you can continue her legacy by supporting communities impacted by the Eaton wildfire. Buy a book, and we'll donate it to schools and libraries in need, spreading stories, knowledge, and hope where it's needed most.
Stay tuned for details on how you can support the book drive initiative for the Eaton Wildfire relief efforts. Your contribution will help provide books to schools and libraries, making a lasting impact on communities in need. Together, we can make a difference!​
